Theft and chicanery are in the news. A Russian was caught last week trying to smuggle protected coral and sea life out of Indonesia. An employee of a Kuta hotel has been caught stealing money from a Japanese guests room. And, a French tourist was caught shoplifting from a shop at Bali’s airport.

Aviation News: Tigerair Australia has halted flights to Bali after being caught in violation of charter and traffic right agreements. Tigerair has also ceased selling tickets to Bali until March 25, 2017. Lion Air has halted the delivery of 30 new planes in 2016 in order to consolidate and rationalize their troubled operations. Bali’s airport announces plans for facility improvements in 2017. And, Garuda Indonesia will add more charter flights to China to handle increased passenger numbers over the Lunar New Year period.
