Jimbaran - Bali, 11 January 2010
InterContinental Bali Resort takes great pleasure to announce the opening of a new beach recreational centre at the Resort, to be managed and operated by Bali-based surf and board school, the Rip Curl School of Surf.
The recreational centre will be for the exclusive use of in-house guests with a wide range of water sports activities and tuition at Jimbaran Bay. There will also be introductory dive lessons under the guidance of a trained instructor focused in the Resort pool.
The Rip Curl School of Surf will operate daily from 8.00am to 6.00pm at Sunset Bar. They will offer an exciting selection of courses in surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, body boarding and stand up paddle boarding. The school will also provide rental equipment for guest use as well as guided tours along the local coastline for snorkelling, fishing or sight-seeing.
Considered true experts in water based activities, The Rip Curl School of Surf places great emphasis of safety standards. They provide helmets, reef shoes, rash vests, board shorts, hats and life jackets in all sizes. Onsite instructors will ensure that each guest is fitted with the appropriate safety gear before the commencement of each activity.
This partnership is set to enhance the choice of leisure facilities currently available at the Resort to enrich the quality of stay for our discerning guests.
